This Privacy Policy describes how Money App ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

A. Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via our identity provider, Clerk).
• Profile Information: You may optionally provide additional details such as your name.

B. Information from Third Parties (Financial Data)

We use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your financial accounts. When you connect a bank account, we may collect and store the following data based on your authorization:

• Account Details: Institution name, account names, types, and last 4 digits of account numbers.
• Balances: Current and available account balances.
• Transactions: Transaction dates, amounts, descriptions, and categories.

We do NOT collect or store your bank account username or password.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to provide and improve the Service:

• Financial Analysis: To generate income/expense reports and balance sheets.
• Account Management: To maintain your account and secure your data.
• Security: To detect and prevent fraud or security incidents.

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures: Access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, all traffic is via HTTPS (TLS), and we maintain audit logs of all sensitive data access.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time through the Settings page within the application.
